CCTV Surveillance Technician
Reporting To: Property Manager

Schedule: This is a full time position.

Job Summary:
You will take responsibility for all assigned projects from commencement to completion. You will complete these projects in a manner that exceeds our customer’s expectations and ensures that our work adheres to all company policies and procedure. You will be required to work on several projects and have the ability to multi task and plan critical requests from Clients.
Required Experience and Skill Set:
Must have good knowledge of structured cabling requirements, design, and Installation.
Experience overseeing and/or leading crews.
Minimum 2 years experience with security cameras.
Experience with both residential and commercial environments.
Must have good oral and written communication skills.
Must have the ability to read and interpret floor plans.
Must have the knowledge to install support structures (ladder racks, j-hooks, etc.)
Ability to work well as a team member.
Ability to work with minimal supervision and handle multiple tasks.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to climb up and down ladders.
Must be loyal and want to work long term.
Must own reliable truck/van vehicle w/insurance and valid license and with a good driving record.
Travel Responsibilities.
Local travel to and from work sites.
Major area of responsibilities and Key Duties:
Install structured cabling, low voltage cables (Cat 5e, CAT6).
Wire and install CCTV security cameras.
Wire and install access control systems.
Installation, servicing / maintenance, testing, commissioning of Intruder Alarm Systems – IP Surveillance Systems and Access Control Systems or related equipment, following drawing of electrical layouts and building plans in accordance with NSI and relevant Codes of Practice/Policies.
Installation, servicing / maintenance, testing of Disabled Refuge, Public Address, Call System & Induction Loops in accordance with relevant British Standard and other relevant Codes of Practice/Policies.
Providing a quality installation in the most methodical and efficient manner, including the ability to digest detailed scope of works and working drawings.
Liaising with ARC (Alarm receiving centers)
Production of high quality commissioning and handover documentation and as fit drawings.
Maintaining safe work environment at all times and have a good understanding of Health and Safety i.e. Method, Risk assessments, safe working procedures etc.
Client training and demonstration of systems to explain the systems working and functionality.
Responding to out of hours service calls.

What we’re looking for:
As a CCTV installer, it is your responsibility to ensure that you are familiar with the safety standards of the gadgets in question. You are expected to understand all the safety measures and directives when handling such equipment as they can be easily get tampered. Remember it is your role as a technician to display your prowess when it comes to doing your job.
